 Canada
is a large country occupying most of northern North America.
It is the second largest country by area next to Russia. In
contrast, it has one of the lowest population densities
(population per square kilometer) in the world. It is one of
the wealthiest nations in the world with an economy
dominated by the service sector. Being near Alaska and the
North Pole, it has a generally cold weather all year-round
that only subsides during summers. In 2006, the Philippines
was the third highest country source of immigrants to
Canada. There are currently about 500,000 Filipinos living
in Canada, mainly in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver and
the country is looking to recruit more and more Filipino
